The $100,000 "Smell Dysfunction in Pediatrics" Innovation Challenge

  • Registration link: https://qrdi-org-qa.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_PzB9i9lESlWii-y8rrJKQA (map)

This challenge offers $100,000 for the development of easy-to-use devices capable of detecting loss of smell in children that is agnostic to cultural/regional inputs.

The Qatar Research Development Innovation Council (QRDI) and Sidra invite proposals from startups, SMEs, and technology companies to provide a diagnostic tool for smell dysfunction. They are looking to develop a non-invasive diagnostic device which can quickly (<10mins) identify potential smell dysfunction or loss in children. These results should integrate into electronic health records (EHR) management systems and the technique should be simple enough to train current medical staff. More information on the challenge is available here.
